depends on whether you are buying new or used. If you don't think you have to have everything new or the best, either way is a lot cheaper. sometimes you can get stuff fairly cheap that looks new because it has either not been used much or has had really good care taken of it. Personally I ride western but everyone has their own preference. Around here 4H clubs use good but not always new |

Western Da!!! Lets see my 40k Qu horse, 150k tralor, trainer 50$ per lession 4 a week, new outfits every 5 shows, tack (500$ bridle, 4k saddle) HorseSSS cept in a stall 1.5k, groom at shows 50$, gas to shows all over the country 500 per trip, classes 20$ per class x 10 =200$
